Our Canadian Christmas
Christmas, you say? Isn’t it mid-January? Why yes, yes it is. But I’m just now finally getting to edit these photos—yikes! And there may or may not still be a tree up in my house. In defense of the latter, I do always leave all decorations up through Three Kings Day, which falls on January 6. So technically, technically I’m only 6 days late at taking down the tree. Three if you figure most are always a few late, right?
I digress…
This Christmas was the first year I did not spend at home. We flew to Toronto to spend Christmas with my husband’s side of the family. Expecting a white Christmas, I stocked the baby up on the cutest ever snow-ready clothes and then a few days before we leave, the weather says 54…yikes! It was colder here in Phoenix.
Food, chaos and lots of laughs. We ended up having to stay an extra two days because Sebastian got a horrible ear infection and, as luck would have it, that’s when all the snow fell! It wasn’t a white Christmas, but it was definitely a good one with plenty of memories made.
Hope your holiday season was just as lovely!

Hello, as a Mexican guy who has lived in Canada (Ontario) for the last 25 years, I know very well the feeling of Christmas and long cold winters here, not that utmost as in Winnipeg. Canada is a beautiful country that gave me the opportunity to find myself again, get married to a cute Canadian woman, and have my beloved family. Now I am waiting 2 more years for my retirement and go back to San Miguel de Allende Mexico. Thank you very much, Canada. Merry Christmas Dan!
