Life, These Days

Well, hello there.

(Yes, I’m still around.)

Today, I’m writing this post in my PJs, with a 7-week-old babe sleeping on my lap. There’s no peonies in the background. No Chanel lipstick nestled next to my laptop. And no perfectly propped products to showcase my glamorous surroundings.

To be honest, I was never that kind of blogger anyway. Yes, I’m guilty of occasionally staging an instagram photo, and I like to see them. But they frustrate me so much sometimes because that’s not real life. And I’m not sure at what point blogs went away from being personal, intimate accounts of real life and turned into produced and staged everything.

But that’s not what this is about. Really, I just wanted to say “hi” again and that yes, I’m still here.

Life is different these days. Good different. Bad different. Great different. I’m still finding my footing, whatever that means. So thanks for being patient with me.

We’ve had some good times with friends and family and I jumped at the chance to indulge in old favorites like sushi, a good charcuterie board and, of course, a nice glass of bubbly.
