After traveling three countries in Europe for the past few weeks, it’s finally good to be home! I’m home for about 5 minutes before I’m off to a weekend wedding in Vancouver, but it’s been nice to settle in the past few days.
This weekend, little things happened. Little things like vegging out, like getting a belated birthday cake at City Hall (oh, the butter cake is the best, isn’t it?) and home touch-ups. Because yes, it’s important to have a functioning bathroom door that opens in the correct direction! (This is what happens, apparently, when you do full-on house renovations and discover Jeld Wen is completely incompetent.)
I made a modified version of this recipe. Yes, it was delicious, and I’ll be sure to share it here if my photos ever turn out looking like even somewhat of a semblance to this one. (They didn’t.)
And someday, when I find the time to sort through the 1,000+ photos, I’ll be sure to share some pics from our European adventure! Although I’m already kicking myself for not having stopped to take more time for more artistic shots. On the other hand, when you’re too busy to remember to take good photos, that must mean you’re having a good time, right?
I also got to pick up a print copy of the July issue of 202 Magazine, which you can read here if you haven’t gotten it yet. This issue is all about summer travel, and a lovely interview I had with the gorgeous, Kanksha Mehta, in which she shares a truly inspiring story. So hurry on and go read it!
In the meantime, I’m also wrapping up a project for one of my clients, Latest Hairstyles. I write for them regularly so if you are a hairstyle junkie, this is the site to see!
What were you up to this weekend?
