I never thought I’d write a post on how we organize our family schedule, but things get a little chaotic when your family starts to grow! Now that we’ve added another baby to the mix, it’s more important than ever that we’re organized and on the same page.
Command stations are great and all, but around here we’re a digital family. So last week, we popped into Target to pick up the new Samsung Galaxy Note8. My husband also has a Samsung device, the Galaxy S8, so it’s super easy for us to stay connected and organize our family schedule.
How I Organize Our Family Schedule
There are a million and one apps you can use for family scheduling, but I like to keep things simple and use Google Calendar, which automatically syncs to the phone’s built-in calendar app. I don’t like to overload the calendar because we each have our own things going on, so I simply send out an invitation when it’s something he needs to be at.
Pediatrician appointments, our weekly swim class, Parent Teacher Conferences, a birthday party or dinner party are just some of the things I make sure to schedule. It’s easy for things to get hectic, so schedule out 5 minutes once a week to do this!
How We Share Shopping Lists
Forgetting something at the grocery store is the worst. That’s why one of my favorite features of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is that I can use the S-Pen to instantly make notes!
If I’m on-the-go, I can access these notes at a later time to act on them. And if it’s grocery items, I can transfer them over to Paprika, which is my grocery list/recipe app of choice. It syncs to both of our phones and is easy to update when something runs out, so you can stress less about forgetting something!
How We Create Memories
Schedules and shopping lists are great and all, but what I really love about the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is the camera! I’m a blogger, so taking great photos is everything. This camera is totally Pro and not only helps me capture great outfit photos but also inspires me to capture everyday memories of our family.
My favorite feature is probably the real-time mode where I can control the background blur for professional looking photos. You can also adjust things like the Aperture and even edit your skin right within the camera! I can easily upload our pics to a Google Drive album so they’re always backed up.There’s also a microSD card so you can expand your storage and not have to worry about your phone getting full of photos!
Oh and FYI, right now Target is offering $150 gift card with the purchase of any new Samsung Galaxy Note8. You can also try your luck at winning one below! For even more ideas and inspiration on how to use the phone, click here.
