With a long weekend around the corner comes major sales. So I thought it’d be a good time to do a little Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale 2018 Preview and tips on what to buy!

The 2018 Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale offers deep discounts up to 40% off, and it’s going on from May 23-June 3. For me, it’s great to plan ahead and stock up on some cute summer pieces!
What to Buy at the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale
Athleisure
Zella has become my new go-to. I love the fit, the styles and the price point! Historically, this brand has always gone on sale during the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale so expect the same this time around. The Zella High-Waist Live-In Leggings are the classic pair that everyone loves (also in cropped version), and they almost always go on sale! So keep on eye on those. I’m also eyeing these Zella mesh leggings.

Summer Dresses
It’s a great time to stock up on spring/summer dresses! I love this dress from Leith and under $30 it’s a great deal. I also ordered this Maggy London dress (sold out) and this pretty wrap dress which is so versatile. I also needed a new LBD and this off-the-shoulder pick worked out at under $60.
Free People
Typically, a few Free People pieces go on sale like bralettes, tops and dresses. I bought this lace bralette (which I ultimately returned because I was still nursing) but I’m considering giving it another go because it’s SO darling.
The Perfect Tunic
This Lush Roll Sleeve Top lives up to its name, it’s perfect! And it goes on sale every time Nordstrom has a sale. Style it with jeans tucked in, tucked out, with leggings, with a skirt–it’s that versatile. And it’ll likely be under $30 again. Did I mention it comes in 12 colors?!
Sandals
Sandal season is here! Thanks to a blazingly hot summer around the corner. So it’s a good a time as ever to stock on some cute pairs. I ordered these rose gold slides which are super comfortable, btw, these gorgeous patterned sandals and these nude sandals, a classic spring/summer shoe.
My Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale Picks
In addition to everything posted above, I also kept this black off the shoulder dress. It’s under $50, so flattering and an easy wardrobe upgrade. You can never have too many LBDs and I was in need of replenishing mine!
I’m also considering keeping this terry skirt, which is under $25. It’s comfy for working from home and I can see myself wearing this around the house with a simple tank and these slides.
