I am so excited for this month’s beauty favorites, you don’t even know. Actually, I got so excited to share, I postponed doing so just so I could be a bit more concise, ahh! I could go on and on about how great these products are. So without further ado…
Where has this product been all of my life? I picked up this RMS “Un” Cover Up at Citrine Natural Beauty bar and ladies, it is a total game-changer. It is now a part of my daily makeup routine and I am so stinking happy with it. After I had the baby, I noticed really, really bad undereye circles. I’ve always had dark undereye circles but they really got worse. I figured it was due to lack of sleep, but I’ve also read a change in hormones could cause this (fun motherhood stuff, right? Ha.) Anyway, this little pot of pretty goodness is just plain great. It’s all-natural, lightweight, has a pretty sheen and is made out of coconut oil so it’s really nourishing to your delicate eye area. All of RMS Beauty products are certified organic and made of eco-friendly materials, like this recyclable glass pot. Get it here.
Hello, cheeks! Last month I was invited to a Colorscience event (full post on that to come) and one product I absolutely fell in love with is the Colorescience Morning Glow Illuminator. This blush color is flattering on everyone and provides the most perfect, gorgeous glow. And since it’s a powder form, you don’t have to worry about leaving behind any streaks. It’s the easiest way to swipe on an absolutely natural color with a hint of shimmery sheen. For a bit more intensity, apply it over your blush of choice. I sometimes swipe this over my Marc Jacobs Shameless Bold Blush in Irresistible or my Colorescience Pressed Mineral Cheek Colore in Rose.
The hubby randomly picked up some Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter one day as a little treat and I was honestly shocked at how good this stuff is! It’s thick, creamy, supple, moisturizing and a fantastic bang for your buck at under $10. It feels absolutely luxe, and is made with coconut oil, shea butter and Vitamin E. Honestly, this tub totally competes with the pricier potions out there. It’s summer ladies, feed your skin!
Not to sound preachy, but please, please don’t hit the pool this summer without sunscreen! You should actually be applying it everyday, even when you’re just running to the grocery, even if it’s cloudy out and even if it’s winter. Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is a no-brainer; it’s so easy to apply, doesn’t leave an offensive smell and is cooling to the touch so actually feels good when you reapply after a day in the sun.
If you’ve been around this blog for awhile you know I’m extremely picky when it comes to my mascara. So I was pleasantly surprised by the sample of Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils I got. The formula doesn’t clump and creates big lashes without drying. I used it on and off for a few weeks and it didn’t lose its luster. Plus, it’s enriched with pro vitamin B5.
So that’s what I’m crushing on this month, what about you? Have you tried any of these beauty products or any you’d like me to sample out and review?
