When it comes to traveling, less is more. So I only want to pack the best travel beauty products.
I tend to overpack because I hate arriving somewhere and craving that one shirt you just so happened to not pack. But when it comes to travel beauty products, I try to go minimal so I can maximize the space for more outfits. Once you’ve determined what to pack for that vacay make some time to focus on your beauty products. I keep these toiletries pre-packed in this cosmetics bag, so all I have to do is pop it in my suitcase and I’m ready to go! There’s literally no guesswork involved and it makes packing that much easier.
Best Travel Beauty Products
DryBar Detox Dry Shampoo
When you’re traveling, toting around a huge blowdryer and taking the time to bother with a wash every day is a total pain. I like to start my trips by checking into one of the Valley’s blowdry bars like DryBar for a blowout that will last me a good two days. But a longer trip requires some hair powder. My two favorites are Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder and DryBar Detox Dry Shampoo. They get the job done and come in travel-friendly sizes!
Sephora Oil Blotting Sheets
If you’re traveling somewhere humid, or just a different climate than you’re used to, you just might get shiny. And that’s where oil blotting sheets come to the rescue. As a rule of thumb, I like to keep these in my purse and usually have either Sephora blotting papers or Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets on me at all times. I also keep one in my travel beauty, too.
Clinique Pore Refining Stay Matte Hydrator
Speaking of shine, when you live in the desert pretty much everywhere else is considered somewhat humid. That’s why a shine control primer like this Clinique Pore Refining Stay Matt Hydrator is essential. It’s one of the best travel beauty products, goes on light and will help combat oily skin so you’ll have less photoshop retouching to do later. Another favorite is Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
No need to carry multiple eyeshadow palettes, you’ll get every occasion covered with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (There’s currently a gift with purchase through Nordstrom). I’ve also been loving the Tart Tartlette Amazonian Clay Palette recently which has beautiful matte shades perfect for creating everyday and evening looks.
Travel tip: I actually keep all my travel size beauty essentials in a ready-to-go cosmetics bag so whenever I’m going on vacay, it’s already packed!
