The more I use facial hydrating mists, the most I like them and wonder why I never used them before. Gimmicky? Not always. Whether I need a bit of moisture before applying makeup, need a refresh, a pick-me-up or want to set my makeup, there’s loads of uses for a good facial hydrating mist. Especially in these hot summer months, who couldn’t use a nice cool spray on the face?!
If you haven’t tried using a facial hydrating mist before (or not even sure what the heck to use them for) check out the best facial hydrating mists that are currently some of my favorites.
Best Facial Hydrating Mists
After cleansing but before moisturizing, I like to spritz on a bit of this Boots No. 7 Facial Hydrating Water Spray. Sometimes my skin feels a little dry after cleansing and it’s a great way to prep the skin before my moisturizer. You can use it day, night or anytime in between!
On my last trip to Europe, I bought a Clinique Moisture Surge Travel Set at the duty-free shopping center and boy did I fall in love with this spray! I’ve mentioned before how I love the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturizer, but the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray is pretty great too. It’s perfect for travel or a refreshing spritz throughout the day. It’s oil-free and just a spritz or two will help refresh skin that’s feeling dry.
For a luxe take on your average facial mist, Shu Uemura’s Depsea Water Facial Mist is the real deal. This is not just any old water bottled with fragrance. “Deep-sea water is taken from the depth of the ocean where sunlight does not reach, at 200 meters. completely free of artificial color, natural aromatic extracts are then added to become lightly scented mists that rejuvenate and hydrate the skin, hair and body.” There’s eight wonderful scents to choose from, all of which are refreshing and help energize the skin. It’s one of the best facial hydrating mists and I love the light scent.
The Jane Iredale Pommisst Hydration Spray has quickly become one of my favorite new beauty products. I use it at the end of my makeup routine to “set” my makeup and it gives my skin a beautiful, natural glow. It’s got pomegranate, white tea and rosemary leaf extract and is all natural. It will leave your skin glowing and feeling refreshed!
