I’ll admit, I don’t always follow beauty trends. After all, there’s only so many “looks” I feel I can pull off and a natural, classic look will never go out of style.
But one beauty trend I can’t help but be drawn to as of late is stick-on makeup. And no, I don’t mean temporary tattoos. I mean peel it off just like the stickers we played with as children and stick it right on our faces. Lazy? Maybe. Genius? I think yes.
Here’s a peek at some of the latest stick-on beauty buys.
Honestly, these are quite genius. I’ve tried the Sally Hansen Nail Effects Nail Polish Strips and absolutely love them. They’re fairly easy to apply and can be done in under 20 minutes. And for someone who is prone to goofing things like this up, I manged to get them all almost perfectly.
Beauty tip: Use nail polish remover pre-application and layer a coat of clear polish over the strips so they last extra long!
I never thought I’d see the day that there was stick on eyeliner strips but boy am I so excited to try this out! I cannot for the life of me master a cat eye; if you can’t either Christian Dior’s Velvet Eyes save the day. They’re a bit steep at $55 a box, but they come with 4 designs and can be reused. If you’ve tried this before and love or hate them, please leave a comment below!
Looking for the ultimate stay-on-kisser? Try Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos. They come in several colors and funky patterns too that are good for Halloween and…well, I’m not sure what else really. Maybe filming a music video? I’ll leave that up to you.
Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos include three decals per box. I tried them myself and found the bottom lip is much easier to adhere than the top. It’s a good thing they come three per box as for me, it wasn’t the easiest to apply and I’m not a fan of how “cracked” they made my lips look. But from far away, you can’t tell at all.
If you can get it to look like the image above and looking to sass things up for Halloween, go for it!
What do you think? Have you tried any of the above? Are you excited for easy-to-use stick-on makeup?
